Y have so many peeps gotten addicted 2 WoW?
I just tried WoW for 3 days (25 hours spent) and stopped after getting bored (kill this group, collect some stuff, complete another quest, join a guild, craft some items, sell and trade it for dough, go party up and kill elites, PvP on a battleground, do again 10 gigillion times). Mind that I've played other MMORPGs such as City of Heroes, Lineage, Dark Age of Camelot, Eve, Planetside, Anarchy Online, and RF Online, but WoW just doesn't seem like a particularly addicting game. BTW, I deleted my character, so there's no way I'm going back.

- It's hard to say. Recently all three of my siblings (including my bodybuilding brother who really isn't into games) have started playing all at once, and they play more than I do now. Usually all three of them are on. I would say a large factor is the ease in fending for and relying on yourself. The game is balanced so that you can spend a playing session without having to talk or party with other players if you want. The 'one-man party' also gives the impression that your character is very strong, and that leaves you satisfied.
- i know i tried it and i find diablo 2 far more better and challanging it is just a game meant for mass numbers really and its based on the graphics rather than game play. if you like rpgs go for the originals (thats my advice)
- Once you get to the higher levels it gets pretty bad. You didn't like it cuz you only played for 3 days and go to what, level 20? 30 at most? when you get up in the 50s and 60s the quest rewards are better. You're already close to hitting 70 so you wanna get there as fast as you can. Once you get to 70 you find you're still not all that powerful because everyone else has better gear than you so you keep playing to get gear. Then blizzard in a act more evil than the deeds of phillip morris releases another raid instance with more gear for you to get so you keep playing... and playing... and playing... until you're either hooked and lose your friends, girlfriend and job, or you quit and sell your epic character for a hundred bucks like me! Yea I know I got ripped, but I was in a hurry to get rid of it =] Basically its a never ending quest to be stronger, and to kill the enemy better.
